Well recently I got new bedding. I finally decided what I was going to do for pictures behind my bed. At first I wanted my mom to paint me something which is what she did last time and she is fantastic at it.. Here are the three paintings she did for me.
I love them but they are going in our second bedroom with our old comforter set. Here is my new bedding..
Yes, I do know the lamp shade on the right is crooked. It is always like that no matter how many times I try to fix it. AJ gets some wacky dreams while he is sleeping and insists on attacking the lamp and then it falls to the ground. Well he doesn't attack he just some how knocks it over when he is dreaming.
Instead of having my mom do paintings I am going to fabric panels. I went shopping at JoAnn's this weekend and picked out a bunch of pattern samples that I liked. I liked a lot of different kinds.. This is what I decided on though...
This fabric will be some accent pillows on the bed.
This fabric is going to be the panels that go on the wall and maybe some accent pillows for the couch as well.
This is both of the fabrics on my pillow so you can see what it looks like.
So what do you think of the patterns? Did I make a good choice? I may also do a fabric panel in my dinning room of something else or my mom and I might paint something to go in there. Haven't quite figured that one out yet.
AJ works all day today :( I work until 4 and have to go exchange some shirts I bought him for a different size. He liked all the ones I picked out though. Then I have choir practice at 6:30 until about 8. I think we are going to have Publix subs for dinner. My favorite. We will see what AJ wants as well.
I hope you have an amazing day!
Americans worship creativity the way they worship physical beauty - as a way of enjoying elitism without guilt: God did it.
I like both of those patterns very much! I love fabric and sewing and creating new things! I also love that art up there - very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe patterns are both really cute. Good job picking. And your mom's artwork is beautiful!
