Crunches vs. Kisses

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I was a nanny one of my two jobs. Madeleine, Teddy, and I decided to go to the library for story time. Story time at the Franklin Library is alright. Not my favorite. It used to be awesome, but the lady who ran it left for a new job :( At the end of the stories, they used to have craft time. Now, they don't because they think there would be a chocking hazard. Nothing happened when they were doing it before. Silly library. The kids wanted to go to the park, but we couldn't because everything would of been still wet from the storms on the previous day. I took them to Sonic for their special drinks. Madeleine got a watermelon slush, Teddy got a cherry slush, and I got nothing because those drinks are worse than cokes. Then we went to the ball store which is Target. I got some much needed socks because I haven't bought socks in a really long time.. I admit my white one were getting wholes in them. Not good. I got one tumbler cup for St. Patricks Day and one for Easter. Then we went back to there house and ate lunch and they took their naps.

When I got home, I was going to change and head straight to the workout room so I could go see this lovely....
My third day in a row to visit the elliptical. I put the resistance (finally figured out the word) up one more notch. It was not my friend yesterday. I was sore from the previous day and I had a hard time staying on that thing for the full 55 minutes. It was well worth it though. I burned off 401 calories last night.. Every time I put the resistance up I burn off more calories. That's a plus. That puts me at 1088 calories burned so far this week. My goal for the week is supposed to be 1690. I think I will have no problem meeting that goal. Might go over it. After I finished the elliptical I went home to do some at home strength exercises that included skater squats (these things are not fun), lateral lunges, close-arm wall push ups, crunches, and reverse crunches. While I was doing my crunches Moose decided he wanted to be involved in that activity since I was on the floor. Every time my head went up he wanted to kiss my face.. Gross. I had to push him away. That was hard because how do you say no to that cute face that just wants your love and approval.

For dinner, I didn't make some fantastic recipe because AJ wanted to have his left over cuban sandwich from the previous night. I just ended up having cereal, strawberry-banana smoothie, and one piece of toast with a little bit of cream cheese and nutella on it. I know dinner of champions. It was totally enough food for me since lately my intake of food has gone down even more since I just stop eating when I am full. I now tend to make smaller portions. By the time I was finished with every thing it was almost eight. My time flies.
I watched One Tree Hill which was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was amazing because it hasn't been that since Lucas and Peyton are no longer on the show. It was good entertainment for the evening :) The best part of the show was when Haley went into labor then Julian and Brooke got the news that they will be getting their adopted baby as well cause the mother went into labor. Then of course, the show end there. Then it says it won't be on until April. Grrr. I hate when shows take a break it is so annoying. Why do they do that?

Hawaii Five-O was my next and final entertainment for the evening. It was really good. They had to protect a leader who was a killer and was going to turn himself in and end the war from people who wanted to kill him because he was a horrible killer (that's a tongue twister). I really like this show. I just started watching it not that long ago and at least it is one of the shows that you don't have to know what happened in the previous show to watch it. When it was over I decided to go to bed. It was 10:15 and I was extremely exhausted.. All in all it was a good and very productive day.

  4. I LOVE Hawaii 5-0!!

I'm from Hawaii and it's cool to see all the locations and sometimes people we know are extras =)

I also prefer the elliptical to the treadmill, however, since my goal is to run a 5K, I only use the elliptical 1-2X a week, and only for about 45 minutes. I like the Gluteal workout program... with the resistance at 4, 6 if I'm feeling brave LOL

PS. I like how the title of your posts are within the picture frame thingy... howdya do that?

  5. When you go to design, you go into layouts and then advanced... Then you choose the one about pictures and choose the color.
