The Gardner School
Well, yesterday I went and had an interview at The Gardner School. It is an award winning preschool. They say they are like the "Princeton of Preschools." I really wanted to get this job...
Lets start at the beginning. I was told about a week ago that my kids that I nanny for had to start going to school on June 6th to hold their spot for the fall at The Gardner School. I wasn't taken by surprised because I new this was a possibility. The mother was really upset because she didn't want it to happen that fast and because I am now like family. I have been with these kids for two years. I love them so much.
So, I decided to start looking at jobs on the internet. I hate now that every job you look at is on the internet. So annoying. I looked at receptionist jobs, and some more nanny jobs. I really didn't want to sit at a desk all day. I also had a goal of in the next year to find a real job with benefits and paid leave. So big girl job. lol. I started to look at some preschool because I really do like working with children. I applied at The Children's Academy and when I went and interviewed last Thursday they liked me a lot but it was kind of far so I put that as a back up.. I had also applied at The Gardner School because I thought it would be awesome to be around my kids.
One of the families I used to work for kids goes to The Gardner School already, so I kind of already had an in. She talked me up all last week.. Every single day she talked about me. Thanks Jen!!! You are so awesome. We found out that they were hiring last week. On Monday, they couldn't find my application so I called and she said I could have my interview on Tuesday and to just bring in my resume.
My interview was really short on Tuesday, but I also got there like 15 minutes early. If I am not early I know I will be late and I can't stand being late. She said that I would hear on Friday if I got the job or not. I was a little nervous because the interview was so short and AJ was telling me that I should of asked questions.
Anyways, I got the call this morning on the way to the library with Madeleine and Teddy. She said I got the job and I can start June 6th. Which is so awesome cause my last day is June 3rd. I also get benefits. :) I can also help my parents out in the morning making calls to check on supplies.
I am so excited about my new job and a new direction for my life. Thank you so much for your prayers while I was searching for a job if you knew that I was searching. Thank you Jen for helping again get a job.. It is always good to have mom's on your side. Especially mom's who know a lot of people. I really glad I have you in my life... Thank you AJ for not flipping out just yet about my job situation at least I worked hard at it and it paid off. Love you...
We are going out tonight to celebrate. Going to PF Changs with Bobby and Christina. Christina and I both get to celebrate jobs...

Hair....
There was at 14 year old male teenager getting his hair done while I was there.. He was hilarious. He kept saying stuff like his hair made him hot and if the shampoo his hair stylist had given him had made his hair thicker. He was hilarious... Never met a 14 year old boy that was that obsessed with his hair..
While Lauren was doing my hair, she noticed that underneath my hair was tons of different lengths. Which seriously upset me cause my other hairstylist from FL did that to me.. He did it to take some of the weight out of my hair, but when I ask to get my hair thinned out I mean do it with the razor or thinning sheers. I mean you can't see it. Luckily she is going to work on fixing it.. She thinned my hair out with sheers. It feels so much lighter.. She also blew my hair dry. Which I have never had a stylist do cause I normally hate how they do it. She did an amazing job though. Blew my hair dry straight and it looked amazing even without a flat iron touching it. She did magic.. :)
The only difference with my hair is that my bangs are shorter and my hair has been thinned out.. She also did my eyebrows. I am going to have to invest in some Redken products that she put in my hair.. It made it so soft and smell so good. Here is the end result..
